Extrusion

The Extrusion process begins with material being pumped through the Silo System. The Hopper is then filled and the material is heated and pumped through an extruder.

The material is forced through a die with a profile shape. The part is then shaped using plates in the calibrator after which it is crystallised in a waterbath.

The Haul-off pulls the part through. The part can then be Printed on, Punched and cut to length (Downstream Technologies). Finally the part is inspected and packed in a box ready for despatch.
